Kumaso Square Park, located between Mochio Park known as the cherry blossoms viewing spot and the Sekinoo Falls, is a perfect place to go out with children, with playgrounds such as beautiful grass field and slides.
From the observatory, you can see the Kirishima Mountains as well as the Shinmoedake (Mount Shinmoe). There is a Takimidai (Falls Lookout) in the back where you can see the Sekinoo Falls in the distance.
Cherry blossoms are in full boom in spring. There is also a cherry blossom that blooms in October, which is called Jugatsuzakura (‎October Cherry or Prunus x subhirtella Autumnalis).
